Spending the Holidays at Home Means Both Holiday Stress and Cheer
(PRWeb) December 23, 2006-- Forty-three percent of quiz respondents on Chatterbean.com--an interactive quiz site on pop culture trends--report that after spending time with their families during the holidays they are "full of cheer." Adversely, nearly 30 percent of the respondents are "exhausted" after the stress of being home for the holidays leaves them drained. Two of Chatterbean.com's fun holiday quizzes may help find a balance for the stressful holiday season.
"About four in 10 Americans regard the holidays as a personally stressful period," a recent Gallup Poll reports. "A similar number say they feel more stress during these weeks than at other times of the year."
Chatterbean.com users were asked, "When it comes to the holiday and spending time with your whole family, how do you feel at the end of the night?" In addition to being "full of cheer," and "exhausted," 14 percent of quiz respondents answered that they are "refreshed--family time makes me feel more centered." Another 14 percent answered "a little frustrated--it's hard to adjust to the needs of more people than I'm used to."
Chatterbean.com's holiday quiz "Are You Set for the Holiday Hustle and Bustle?" (http://www.chatterbean.com/holidayquiz/) helps visitors consider how prepared they are for the potentially stressful holiday season through a series of questions concerning holiday traditions, social events, and gift giving. Chatterbean.com features many fun and quirky quizzes dedicated to providing reliable information on pop culture trends.
While 62 percent of Americans say the holidays are either not too stressful or not stressful at all, 38 percent describe the holidays as very or somewhat stressful for them according to Gallup. Chatterbean.com's "Will Your Stress Make You Sick?" (http://www.chatterbean.com/stress_quiz/) quiz features a series of questions prepared from the work of Dr. Caroline Thomas of John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. The quiz helps visitors that want to know whether their way of dealing with stress could harm their health, which can be especially helpful during the potentially high holiday stress season.
Chatterbean.com attracts thousands of users every day to response-driven Web sites that cover trends in personal growth, fashion, food, music, parenting, home ownership, education, and more.
