Key to Success in a Home Based Business: Communication

Communication is key to achieving success in a home based business.

Your external communication will determine how people see you, understand you, and respond to you. Depending on how you communicate, they will either come toward you or back away.

Be aware of the signals you are sending. If you find people backing away or if you are struggling to get people to join you in your business you may be sending warning signals;

- Doubt - Fear - Uncertainty

If this is the case work on your beliefs. Look inside and see what doubts and fears you have about yourself or your business. Find a mentor within your business to assist you in overcoming your uncertainties and build your belief in the company. Team up with others that believe in you and will encourage you to continue to go for your dreams and goals.

Learn to develop your inviting signals;

? Its all about them The person in control of the conversation is the one asking questions. You will be amazed at what you will learn about people and what they are looking for if you will ask questions and then be quit and listen. With the information you receive you will now how to assist them.

? Confidence I know where I am going and I know how to get there. Success brings confidence. Start by achieving little successes daily. If you are procrastinating about something, start by taking baby steps. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!

? Belief  I know what I am doing. Build your belief in yourself by saying daily affirmations. Believe and act as if were impossible to fail. Charles F. Kettering Four parts to communicating;

? Words talk simple, convey the message.

? Emotions this is where the warning signals or inviting signals are picked up. It is what is between the words and within the words that people respond to. Are you conveying hope and possibilities or disbelief and struggle?

? Speed high achievers talk faster and with enthusiasm. Speed and enthusiasm is the fruit of energy. High energy attracts high achievers.

? Tone your tone must convey 100% strength and belief. The underline message must be I believe in what I am doing. Your tone will help frame your message and add the colors to your picture.

Three levels of communication intentions;

- Low at this level you are informing, dispensing information. It does not move people to action, it causes them to think and analyze.

- Medium this level people start feeling what you are saying. It stirs them on the inside. Taps into their emotions.

- High this level empowers. People deeply feel your message on the inside and it moves them on the outside. Action is taken. Everybody likes to feel a measure of confidence and self accomplishment. Give sincere praise and recognition whenever possible. The art of communicating can be learned and taught. Become a master and teacher of communicating and success in your home based business will surely be yours!
