MLM Home Business - Is This Business For Me?

There are three ways to make money on planet earth:

1. Trading your time for money - also known as JOB (Read 'Just About Broke') 2. Invest your money in order to make a lot more - this carries certain amount of risk and you need to monitor your investments and market trends thoroughly 3. Investing your time to create more time freedom and a lot of money - this is the core concept of Network Marketing, Direct Selling or MLM home business, the most workable idea that is guaranteed to succeed if you?re focused, consistent and persistent in your actions.

The concept of MLM business is captured in the essence of the quote by J. Paul Getty, who was one of the first people in the world with a fortune of over $1 billion U.S. dollars, "I would rather earn one percent of the efforts of a 100 people than 100 percent of my own." MLM works on the principle of time leveraging and time compounding. You cannot manage time; you can only manage your priorities. You can only do a certain set of tasks in a day. There is a ceiling on how much you can do in a day or a week but through the power of MLM you can achieve the impossible. You earn money from investing time in other people. This way, you leverage your time, create unlimited amount of hours and earn a huge amount of money. The more time you have, the more money you can make!

MLM business is the business to serve people. This is the business that changes your personality, makes you more confident, improves your self-image and gives you the opportunity to help people. When you serve people and help them achieve their goals, your goal is achieved.

This is the only business which gives you the benefit of residual income, the kind of money that is permanent, that keep on coming year after year forever and ever. Let us however look at some of the problems/misconceptions that people have about the MLM business model and the Solutions and Actions that you can take in order to be successful:

Problems: 1. I do not understand MLM 2. I think this is a pyramid scheme 3. I do not know what to do in MLM 4. It is not for me.

The Bottom Line Some Multilevel Marketing plans are legitimate. However, others are illegal pyramid schemes. In pyramids, commissions are based on the number of distributors recruited. Most of the product sales are made to these distributors - not to consumers in general. The underlying goods and services, which vary from vitamins to car leases, serve only to make the schemes look legitimate.

Joining a pyramid is risky because the vast majority of participants lose money to pay for the rewards of a lucky few. Most people end up with nothing to show for their money except the expensive products or marketing materials they're pressured to buy.

Solutions: 1. As with other businesses, the MLM home business is not for everyone. But if you have not understood what Multi Level Marketing is, it is time you did because you are neglecting a highly advanced but extremely simple business opportunity. For instance, let us take an FMGC (fast moving good company) which sells you products that you generally use in your day to day life like toothbrush, soap etc. The manufacturing cost of these products is quite low. However when you add marketing costs, warehouse costs, advertising costs and other miscellaneous costs, the actual price that you pay is much higher. An MLM company believes in eliminating the 'middle-man' out of this chain and making sure that you make all the money in the chain. MLM is a business of trust. If you like the product or service, you will naturally refer it to people you know. When they use the product/service or promote the idea, you make money. This is a fascinating way to make residual income that will guarantee you happiness. This is the business opportunity that will give you time forever to do the things you had always wanted to do.

2. By the way, Pyramid schemes are illegal. In a chain or pyramid, people give money to a certain business owner or company who does not provide anything of value in return. In MLM you use the high quality product or service at a discounted price. Further you are backed by a supplier and a proven support system that gives you world-class training to do business in an ethical way.

3. Let's take the example of the lady who told her friends about an interesting brand of shampoo that did wonders to her hair. What she doesn?t realize is that she was promoting someone else?s product and helping the company profit without making a dime. If she did MLM or Network Marketing, she would make money for sharing her views about a product. In a nutshell, what I am implying is that you do not have to worry at all because MLM is all about sharing a plan. You have a support system that gives you a proven way to succeed.

4. MLM home business gives you time freedom, the most important commodity we all want. It gives you financial freedom, it presents you the opportunity to serve other people and it blesses you with a peace of mind. There is something for each and everyone.

Actions: The MLM Company or its support system will give you the training you need. This will be in the form of a website, books, audio CDs or videos. Work closely with your business partner who has an interest in making your business a success because if you succeed, he becomes even more successful. Your company will hold seminars and company meetings. Make sure you attend all events so that you can brainstorm with the leaders and people who are doing very well in the company. Being successful in MLM home business is easy as long as you are determined to succeed.

Recognize that sometimes you have to take a risk; successfully negotiating risk-taking is what makes you successful in the long run. A home business could change your life. It costs nothing to explore the possibility. Go ahead and make your dreams come true!
